down to business…
I’m a vibrant and energetic artist, who’s always ready to get stuck in and create art!
I pride myself on being a very physical actor. While studying at Long Island University I gained a huge amount of knowledge on Tadashi Suzuki’s actor training. Coupling this with Anne Bogart’s Viewpoints, and the language of Laban efforts, I constantly work to take information from my own body, analyze and use it to add dimensions to the character.
I’m currently a Teaching Assistant for the Physical Text Analysis Track (Suzuki, Laban & Viewpoints) under Tina Mitchell.
In the past two years I feel that I’ve really come into my own as a comedic actor. My confidence in comedy has surged as I realized that I could be funny irrespective of the company that I am in. That’s me not being boastful or conceited, but taking ownership of my strength as a Comedic actor. I love to improvise and create quirky new characters. I’m a co-leader of Long Island University’s only improv troupe “No Control”.
I am beginning to explore new worlds and boundaries of my artistry. I have written and am currently directing my own comedic play titled “Yearning for the Day When…”.
